My teenage obsession is coming back to me…
After a disappointing fifth movie, I still can’t believe that the same director is chosen to do the sixth and seventh (part one and part two). But if the upcoming movie to be released mid-2009 is as good as its trailer, it could be the best yet. The mood is similar to the best instalment (Goblet of Fire) although it is much darker than GOF.
After two years of hibernating my Harry Potter alter ego, the little kid in me that first read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone book in the third year of primary school is coming back to steal my life away for a few weeks next year. Having just read Twilight (and the saga) in June and hearing people saying that Twilight is the next Harry Potter, I have to say that nothing beats Harry Potter. The Harry Potter series has accompanied me from Primary school and by the time the last movie is released in mid-2011 (around the same time I’ll graduate from university), it has carried me through my educational year and I’m nearly crying because I can’t believe it’s nearly over.
Even though I’ve moved to the music genre with David Cook, Alexandra Burke, and Christina Aguilera as my faves and NBC’s Chuck, Heroes, 30 Rock and Fox’s American Idol as my entertainment – I am still obsessed of Harry Potter as 9 years ago when my teacher read the Harry Potter book at the end of the day, waiting for the bell to go off. For all of this, I thank you, J.K. Rowling. Without you, I wouldn’t be here skipping my senior year of High School – going straight to university and I wouldn’t be more talented in my second language than my mother tongue (Indonesian).
I am such a post-ho today!
